VASANOC has been recruiting field officers to assist Sports development officers in drafting their programs and budget plans for their respective federations.
The trainings took place at the VASANOC conference room where four field officers, successfully completed their trainings and are now assisting the Archery, Judo, Rugby and Swimming development officers.
VASANOC chief executive officer, James Malau stated that VASANOC is recruiting 4 field officers at a time to assist in other sport federations as well. He confirmed that the next intake is on August where participants are selected on merit through application forms.
According to VASANOC, its field officers will assist development officers implement their programs further more provide annual reports back to VASANOC.
Mr Malau said that the 3-day training was successful. All officers were trained on writing report, draw program schedules including budget plans.
The training involved two days tutoring and one day practical before officers get deployed.
This is a way forward to address transparency and accountability, more importantly, monitoring the growth and developments of each federation in country.
