Lakotau from Eretap village beat Black Diamond 2-0 in the Port Vila Football Association Division One championship last Saturday at Korman.

Lakotau coach Alan Kalsong gave thanks to God as he believes it is through God that they gain their victory.

Kalsong says they have two remaining matches in the first round of the championship and their goal now is to prepare well for them.

Kenny Sope jumped in the 7th minute and managed to head the indirect free kick into the net, erupted the fans from their seats.

In the 26th minute John Meredo fired home the second goal as the Black Diamond defense failed to clear the ball quickly.

Romarie managed to find the back of the net to pull one back for the boys in white and black, in the second half, however the referee ruled out the goal for offside.

Black Diamond continued to dominate possession and even had more scoring opportunities, however Graham Mass and Albert Tho just could not find the back of the net through the numerous chances they had.
