The North Efate swimming students attended their last swimming session for 2021 this week on Wednesday. Over 80 students are from Epau and Eton school are registered under the Vanuatu Acquatic Federation (VAF) and they took part on a 6 days swimming program.

Many students were absent during the last swimming class session because there is a miscommunication between VAF and the schools teachers. The students will continue their swimming program next year.

VAF senior development officer explained that this year the program started late because they received late the program budget. He insure that next year, the program will start early and he hope more schools will join the program.

The swimming program includes fun swimming, swimming competition, Kickboard race, free style and fun activities at the beach.

Out of the 80 North Efate students, 54 are students from Eton school 26 students from Epau School.

VAF have five swimming teachers and three training teachers. VFA confirmed that all the teachers are experienced and well trained swimming teachers. It provides 6 different level of swimming program.

}The first program is Level 1 Sardin, Level 2 Butterfly fish, level 3 blue fish and level 4 rainbow fish. This year all the schools participated to the VAF program completed the Level 1 class. Next year they will go to level 2 class.

In addition to the story, VAF continue to provide aqua swimming lessons to registered communities like Mele village and Black sand.
