Vanuatu is now ranked 35 in the International Cricket Council [ICC] ranking and ranked 45 in the ICC ranking for this T20 format.Former cricket player John Niroa, says this is a clear indicator that the sport has grown so quickly.

Niroa who is the current school specialist at the Ministry of Education says this is a wish come true for him as in the past he always wished that one day our cricket standard would rise to the standard of the test nations, and by looking at how far the sport has come, he believes Vanuatu cricket is on the right track.
