After losing the previous week to new comers Mauriki by 1-0, Yatel were out to turn things around last Saturday in the Port Vila football Association (PVFA) Premiership
The boys in blue and white managed to do exactly that as Barry Mansale hit the Golden Star net twice while Andrew Tungon added the third goal from the penalty spot to give the runners up of the recent PVFA Super Cup, the 3-1 victory.
Yatel Assistant Coach Samson Nawok, was really happy with the victory as it turned things around after the loss to Mauriki in their first championship match. He says the victory goes to his boys as they managed to do things well on the field.
Nawok also acknowledged the recent transferred players to his team, saying they are really making a positive impact towards the teams performance.
He says he looks forward to their next championship match and he is taking every game as a grand final.
Though Erakor Golden Star fielded a young team without their main players, Nawok says he knew the game would not be an easy walk in the park as the boys in yellow and black really put up a strong game against his team.
