The Oceania champions league (OCL) defending champion, Auckland city FC has booked its spot at the 2023 OCL semi-finals after a 3-1 win over Suva FC yesterday afternoon.
Auckland city is the first team to qualify for the second stages with pool B matches tomorrow to confirm qualifiers as well.
Solomon Warriors also grabbed its first win of the 2023 Oceania champions league (OCL) after a win 3-1 win over Lupe Ole Soaga yesterday afternoon at the Luganville soccer stadium.
With this win, the warriors hope remains for a spot in the semi final stage as they will play Suva FC in their final pool game to determine its qualification.
This Saturday, it is a game decider for both Warriors and Suva FC for the second stage competition.
Auckland city is looking on claiming the title for the eleventh time this year with opponents, all heads up in their hunt for the 2023 title.
Pool B matches will kick off today in Port Vila, with host Ifira Black Bird aiming a win alongside Tiga Sport from New Caledonia to keep their hopes alive for the second stage competition.
