Up to a thousand students gathered at Wilkins Stadium on Sunday for the opening ceremony of the Vanuatu National School Games.
With the theme ‘Empowering Cultural Diversity Through Sports’, teams paraded for the opening at 8am which was led by each Provincial Custom Dance group in Custom costumes.
Entry to Wilkins Stadium was led by each provincial custom dance.
Students with their provincial colors and flags lit Malekula with happy faces and competitive entertainment on the field.
