2021 AFL Vanuatu Pikinini kick community programme has been extended to another weekend.

The programme which was to culminate this Saturday but due to the heavy demand from kids AFL Vanuatu Senior Development Officer Nancy Patterson has extended the programme to another week.

“Our final program for 2021 for the 8 weeks Pikinini kick program is this Saturday at Independence Park.

“We will get another extra week next weekend as the Pikinini’s do not want to leave the field , so extra week is added to the program just for a final game and updates on 2022 Pikinini kick program,” Patterson said.

“The Pikinini s love the program as they and do not want to leave the field for holiday. The excitement of Kicking and marking in the game of Australian Rules Football drive them crazy in the field and want to continue,” she added.

As soon as they are build up in different skills of Aussie Rules football in the 6 weeks they got the interest of the game and starting to play games in week 7 and 8 with great excitement.

“The kids are catching up so much with the game rule in the two final weeks during the modified games.

“We also train up kids to be goal and field umpires in the final weeks of game.”
