Martin Luther King Jr. is regularly quoted for saying, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

This powerful statement is another way of saying that all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing. And so, having read the disturbingly xenophobic Newsroom Opinion titled "No offence, but why them?" in the Saturday issue of the Daily Post (25 Sept, 2021), I cannot in good conscience stay silent about two worrying themes that pop out.
