Dear Editor,

As an ex High School Educator from NZ i find it increasingly difficult to understand why that it is that all schools were meant to be open for the New Year and yet the government has decided to not open Ulei School because of misdemeanors by the previous Principal.

I have friends and family in the area who are anxious to get their children to school so they have equal opportunity to learn, like everyone else and why should they not be entertained as such?

What comes first — The students’ education or cockups by the previous administrator or the School??

The simple answer is that: The Students come First. Never shall this change!!

Sort out the misdemeanors of the Ex Principal while school goes on — Why are you detaining all the kids that want to learn?? For what?? And for who??

Get your act together Education Dept and Government!!! — Kids come first and that should always be your policy!

I am disgusted that you are holding those that want to learn at ransom. You can deal with the Ex Principal through several avenues other than affecting the students that want to learn.

Stop this fiasco for all concerned including me.

Your Education system is a mess- too much political interference yet again!!

Education is a Right not a Privilege!
