Our recent article on a Council of Ministers (COM) decision specifically endorsing that the Government pays Trades Director General, Roy Mickey Joy’s medical bills shouldn’t come as a surprise.

He was working until his illness and his distinguished service to the country is well known and also covered extensively in this Newspaper, particularly when he was serving as the Ambassador of the Republic of Vanuatu to the European Union and Chairman of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Committee of Ambassadors.
