A government delegation
led by the Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Moana Carcasses joined the people of Shefa Province to celebrate their provincial day yesterday.
A thousand people flooded the small field of Siviri Village to commemorate the day unexpectedly received the presence of the Deputy PM and colleagues on stage in the middle of a football match.
The delegation from Shefa Province comprised of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Efate Constituency, Steven Kalsakau who is the Parliamentary Secretary, Port Vila MP Jean Yves Chabod, MP of Shepherds Outer Islands and Minister of Youth and Sports , Toara Daniel, MP for Port Vila Willie Jimmy as the Minister of Finance and Economic Management and MP for Epi Isaac Hamaraliu.
The delegation spent time to watch the semi-final of a football game. Before leaving, they made an official handover of Vt50,000 to support the Siviri Shefa Day Organising Committee.
