A Lieutenant General in the United States Air Force says the selection of Mr. John Taleo as the Deputy Police Commissioner in the Vanuatu Police Force (VPF) is a reflection of the many contributions he made to Vanuatu.
U.S Air Force Lieutenant General Daniel P.Leaf now retired and Director of the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS) in Honolulu, Hawaii personally wrote to Mr. Taleo, congratulating him on his position as Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations on behalf of the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS).
“Your selection is a reflection of the many contributions you have made to your country and we anticipate even greater accomplishments by you,” the Director of the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies said in a letter received on February 2, 2015.
“I believe we change the world at APCSS because of the efforts and accomplishments of our alumni. Your self-sacrifice throughout your career is a shining example of our Fellows exercising critical roles in the security of the Asia-Pacific region.
“As you transition and assume new responsibilities, our hope is that you will continue to connect with us, your Advanced Security Cooperation Course 10-1 classmates, and alumni around the world.
“Please, let us know if we can be of any assistance.
“Again, my heartfelt congratulations to you on your position and i wish you continued success in the future, and look forward to connecting with you in and around our region.”
