The Tripartite Labor Advisory Council (TLAC) is holding a public lecture today at the Grand Hotel in Port Vila to discuss the “Impact of income tax on wages/minimum wage” for an hour from 11 to midday.
In a media release TLAC says the introduction of income tax and corporate tax has been a major topic of discussion and debate in Vanuatu and it poses the million dollar question of what potential implications these would have on the wages and minimum wage.
TLAC in collaboration with the International Labor Organization is holding the public lecture on the topic of “Impact of income tax on wages/minimum wage”, organizers of the lecture say.
They say the main presenter will be Mr. Daniel Kostzer, Senior Wages Specialist from the ILO and attendants will also get to hear the views and stand of the Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vanuatu Council of Trade Unions (VCTU).
