with Minister James Bule who happily received the donation from Trade Tools Ltd

Locally registered company, Trade Tools Ltd, located in Port Vila has donated 45 tanks that can hold 1,000 litres of water, 900 10-litre containers, 9 generators and garden tools to the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) to assist the Government’s relief effort for the people affected by Cyclone Pam.

Owner of the company Bob Radovanovich, his wife Brenda, their sons Adrian and Daniel and Daniel’s wife Joana (from Tanna) made the donation Tuesday afternoon and the donation was gratefully received by the Minister for Climate Change, James Bule, on behalf of the NDMO.

Radovanovich simply said he decided to make the donation because his heart is in the country and the people.

Minister Bule thanked the family for their “generous support” and for their heart. He also appealed to the private sector for its support and said “at this time we all need to work together to rebuild the economy of the country”.

He told the family the water tanks would be very useful at this time when a lot of people need water.

According to NDMO, the priority on the list to receive the tanks are Nguna, Pele, Moso, Emau, Mataso, Makira, Buninga, and Tongariki who will receive a 1000 litre tank each filled with water to be airlifted using helicopter and located with the Area Council representatives. The rest of the tanks will be distributed through Area Councils by the yacht Dragon Fly, which can fill them with water using their on board desalination equipment.
