PSC eases COVID restrictions on public servants

A directive by the Public Service Commission (PSC) to all public servants, to ensure they produce their vaccination cards before entering government premises, is no longer in full effect.

In a circular issued by the Acting Secretary General of PSC, Jane Bani, the restrictions have been relaxed following the Prime Minister's announcement that there is no indication of community transmission, based on the results of the contact tracing last week.

PSC however advised that all government agencies must continue to maintain handwashing stations to minimise potential risks.

Public servants who have not received their vaccinations yet are encouraged to do so.
