Recently, Jill Davidson CEO of South Australia Shine (SA Shine), a sexual and reproductive health provider state wide in Australia, visited Luganville, Santo, to offer assistance to community organisations in the future with health education staff training.
Unfortunately, due to Tropical Cyclone Donna that hit the western side of the archipelago last week, many meetings were cancelled.
However, Davidson was able to talk to Edna Iavro, Rural Health Officer with the Sanma Provincial Office about services provided and how SA Shine could help.
Davidson’s visit was made possible by an invitation from a current volunteer with the Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) program, funded by the Australian government assisting with health promotion in Santo.
