The annual Fete de La Musique festival hosted by Alliance Francaise in Vanuatu scheduled for today has been postponed due to the death of the President of the country and will now be held to Friday next week, June 30.
Fete de la Musique has grown from its humble beginning in Port Vila to one of the premier music festivals of Vanuatu in recent years and celebrated on Santo, Malekula, Tanna and last year in Torba Province.
The event is mostly popular with young people with artists many of them young people making use of the occasion to showcase their talents.
George Coumbo, Director of Alliance Francaise, says they have decided to postpone the event in respect of the Head of State and rescheduled the date for the program to Friday, June 30.
The day will be hosted with the assistance of Au Fare Restaurant and IPV printers with sponsorship by Tusker Beers breweries, Bred Bank Vanuatu, Unelco, and the French Embassy.
