A suspect has recently been arrested in connection with the attack of the Artistic Director of the Wan Smolbag Theatre (WSB), Peter Walker and two of his cousins just outside Port Vila lately this year.

This was confirmed by the Overseer of the Vanuatu Police Force (VPF), Namen Kali, while addressing a press conference yesterday (Monday).

VPF Overseer Kali said the investigation team has conducted a search at his home yesterday.

The name of the suspect cannot be disclosed at this stage.

Mr Kali said: “It’s one of our major cases.

“Despite us joining efforts and all resources we’ve got to executive Operation Noel, we did not forget our existing operations.”

Apart from Walker’s case, Overseer Kali confirmed that the police have also arrested the suspects in the theft that occurred at the El Manaro Nakamal.

He assured investigations are ongoing and the people who committed the offences will be dealt according to law.
