National Strategic Development Plan workshop participants

On Wednesday December 2, 2015, the Monitoring and Evaluation Division (M&E) of the Department of Strategic Policy Planning and Aid Coordination (DSPPAC) conducted a workshop to further the development of the National Strategic Development Plan 2016-2030 (NSDP).

The workshop participants were presented with an updated progress report on the Priority Action Agenda (PAA) which concludes at the end of this year. With this information the participants worked on drafting National Level Targets during the morning session of the workshop. The targets are drafted in alignment with the finalized Policy Objectives that are included under the goals of the three Pillars of the NSDP (Society, Environment and Economic). The afternoon session focused on gathering input regarding the Priority Areas of the National M&E Policy

This workshop is part of the ongoing process of designing the NSDP and the NSDP Monitoring and Evaluation Framework (M&E). The framework, when finalized, is expected to coordinate the National NSDP M&E Framework with the National M&E Policy and with Ministry corporate and business planning in order to evaluate and monitor progress towards reaching the NSDP National Goals by 2030. .

The workshop was attended by over 25 participants from across all sectors of government. It is anticipated that the M&E design process will continue through early 2016. The workshop was funded through an ADB technical assistance grant.
