Port Vila Urban Development Project Partners and stakeholders are giving out a general notice for road works and possible road closures that will be taking place this week during the day on various sites.
The sites affected are as follows:
(1) Design Section 1: From Smet Car Wash to Europe Corner/Melcoffee. Work along this section of the highway is nearing completion. However there will be isolated works at various sites, mostly concrete works on driveways and footpaths or retention walls. Traffic: Shoulder closures and Stop-Go flow.
(2) Design Section 2: Along Lini Highway (Teouma Road) from Europe Corner to Freshwota Roundabout - Freshwota ABM/USP Roundabout. Still undergoing heavy construction works.
Traffic: Single lane closures from 1.00 pm each day until evening (5.00 pm).
(3) Freshwota-1 Roundabout. Currently undergoing construction works.
Traffic: Single lane closures and slow down
(4) From Dark Corner to ABM Nambatu Works still progressing on various sites along this section of road. Traffic: Shoulder closures and Stop-Go flow.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised to use caution where works are taking place along these sections of road.
