A Get-together Between Chinese Embassy and Ministry of Internal Affairs

A Get-together between Chinese Embassy and Ministry of Internal Affairs was held this week.

Minister of Internal Affairs, Andrew Napuat, and other officers of the Ministry were present.

Ambassador Liu Quan made a brief speech and said China and Vanuatu have a traditional and friendly relationship.

When Vanuatu was seeking independence 38 years ago, the Chinese government firmly supported it. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Vanuatu 36 years ago, the two countries have conducted fruitful cooperation in various fields.

China would like to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Vanuatu.

Minister Napuat stated that he visited China as a member of the joint delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Vanuatu last year and was impressed by China’s rapid development and tremendous achievements.

He highly appreciated the long-term help provided by China in various fields, and is willing to continue to promote the friendly relations between the two countries.
