VNPF Board statement
This statment was received by Daily Post after 5pm yesterday and we run it as it is.
"The Prime Minster, the deputy Prime Minister and all members of the cabinet, all the Chiefs, Church Leaders Employers and lastly but not the least Members of the Fund.
"We have come this far and we will continue on your behalf to carry out our responsibilities provided under the VNPF Act to ensure members interests are fully safeguarded.
"The VNPF Board confirms that the General Manager, Mrs Anniva Tarilongi, Director Corporate Services, Manager Human Resources along with three other officers have now been suspended forthwith.
"To ensure the smooth running of the Fund’s daily management, the Board has today 15th August 2012 appointed Acting General Manager, Santos Vatoko and has re-arranged on temporary basis other acting appointments until the investigative Audit is completed, made public and actioned.
"We acknowledge the concerns that have been raised and are doing all that is possible to ensure your concerns are dealt with. We do welcome your support to the newly appointed Management in the interim until such time all the necessary investigations and reporting is completed. "
