Taxi drivers acquire knowledge on international entry service
Some taxi drivers in Luganville last week went through training on how to give the best service to visitors coming into the country.
Drivers for the first time in Luganville attended such training on international entry service delivered by (AVL) staff in Port Vila.
The drivers were awarded with certificates during the closing of the training and their vehicles were marked with stickers. Anderson Wells, Manager for Airports Vanuatu Limited (AVL) in Luganville congratulate the drivers and said the knowledge acquired will help them in their future careers as drivers. He assured the drivers that from now on they are recognized by the AVL to service visitors coming overseas.
All the taxi drivers thanked the AVL for organizing such training that could enhance those skills on how to provide service to visitors coming into the country.
The AVL manager said the first training delivered was still part of level one but more trainings are yet to be introduced for level two and upwards which is more standard. And one example is for all taxi vehicles to have the same color.
One of the main things covered so far in the training is appearance when providing service. And the first thing they learnt was to welcome the visitors with a big smile.
