PM reallocates Air Van portfolio to Iauko
Prime Minister Sato Kilman reallocated the Air Vanuatu portfolio to the Infrastructure Minister, Harry Iauko, yesterday afternoon at 3pm.
In signing the instrument of reallocating the Air Vanuatu portfolio to Minister Iauko, Prime Minister Kilman said he had taken the decision to do this because Air Vanuatu is part of the Vanuatu Government’s important economic tool through the services it provides nationally and internationally.
“Air Vanuatu has, in the past gone through difficult times, and not yet on the top of the problems but I believe that we will eventually be on the top of all these and move along with many developments to put the airline on the top in the economic development of the country through the services it provides,” Kilman said.
The Prime Minister said he has the confidence in both Ministers Abel and Iauko to do their best in the positions and the portfolios they occupy to the end of the term of the Government before the upcoming general elections.
