NBV supports local business
The National Bank of Vanuatu has continued to support Ni-Vanuatu business, this time through a PC donation to EPS Motors of Luganville.
EPS Motors is one of a number of local businesses that have registered for Business Mentors New Zealand’s (BMNZ) business mentoring program coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce. A key aspect of the improvement plans for EPS Motors was to strengthen their administrative capabilities and the donated PC will support this initiative.
On presenting the PC, NBV’s Santo Branch Manager, Aison Phatuala congratulated the owners of EPS Motors about improvements they have made recently, such as upgrading their office and urged them to implement the improvement plan fully and be a model for other businesses.
Peter Joeli thanked NBV for recognizing the needs of small businesses and assured the NBV Managers present that they have committed to working closely with their Business Mentor to strengthen their business operation. He also expressed gratitude to the Chamber of Commerce and BMNZ for the mentoring program. He also encouraged other local businesses to register for the BMNZ program, which he found to be helpful with the hands on approach of a mentor, which he thinks is more appropriate for small businesses.
Applications for the BMNZ Mentoring program can be collected from the Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce.
