G-Registered vehicle’s wheel punctured

Rural Efate is becoming a dangerous place in which to park your car let alone a G- Registered vehicle especially at night as the Director General of Land and his wife found out at Crystal Blue in the evening of last week.

One of the wheels of the vehicle was likely deliberately punctured with a spear-point like sharp metal rod while DG Joe Ligo was talking with his wife, Jenny Ligo outside the Conference Hall between 7 pm and 8 pm.

His wife, Jenny Ligo said it was lucky that there was a spare wheel when they found the wheel flattened and they extracted the metal rod from it.

It was clear that someone had used the instrument to puncture it because it was forced in from the side above the ground.
When it was pulled out, it was identified as the broken off sharp end of a file used to sharpen chain saw teeth.
His wife said the security of Crystal Blue were alerted to the incident and she is going o file an official complaint with the police.
