Administrators say suspension decision paying off for municipal

Internal Affairs Minister, George Wells has been assured by the Port Vila Municipal Council (PVMC) Clerk, Johnny Botleng, and the Provincial Authorities Director, Cherol Ala that his decision to suspend the Council has produced positive changes in Port Vila.

Minister Wells was given the assurance by Clerk Botleng and Director Ala who is also current Acting PVM Commissioner last week, 8 months after the minister responsible for municipalities and provincial governments suspended the council due to its poor financial status.
