MI HAREM SE...

o Mi harem se, what is happening with TVL?
They are putting their building at the CBD on the market. The TVL section is 3.5 million Australian dollars and Vanuatu Post building is 5 million dollars.

o Mi harem se a rather drunk ex blonde ex hairdresser made herself look rather silly and having no respect for the Leukemia foundation fund raiser quiz at Coconut Palms last week. According to people who were there, she won a raffle with voucher gifts from three organisations and screwed them up in disgust because she was uptight she didn’t win alcohol. Silip!

Former TVL staff at VNPF and lack of transparency in new recruitment

Dear Editor,

Let us remind ourselves that the 1998 VNPF riot happened due to the mismanagement of a Lady General Manager which resulted in the building being damaged and members had to withdraw their savings from the Fund.

It seems that since after the new General Manager, Mrs Anniva Tarilongi was appointed, there have been a lot of questionable decisions going on down at VNPF.

Firstly, there have been a lot of new recruitments taking place.

Petrol or Diesel?

Dear Editor,

Please allow me the space to reply to last Saturdays "Have you Heard" column as I was the person whose fuel tank was filled incorrectly.

I would like to say that although it was slightly annoying losing the use of my car for a day, it was simply a mistake made by a new employee at the station.

One that I have made myself years ago when filling my own tank.

The reason for my letter is to say "Thank You" to the owners of said Petrol Station.

They took full responsibility for the mistake, with no coercion or argument required.

Equally, it is imperative that Vanuatu continues to attract both foreign and local investment into development projects in order to create jobs and training opportunities for our rapidly growing population, and also to help raise taxation to fund public services managed by the Government.

Vanuatu participates in Small Arms workshop

Vanuatu was represented at the Pacific regional workshop on small arms and light weapons and the arms trade treaty.
This 3-day workshop, held in Australia at Brisbane’s Novotel Hotel, was organized by the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat in conjunction with AusAID and Oxfam.

It was intended to provide a forum for discussion by Pacific Region representatives on the implementation of the UN Program of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons (UNPoA), as well as to enable them to prepare a common position prior to upcoming talks relating to a new International Arms Trade Treaty.
