Re: West Papua membership of MSG

Dear Editor,

It would not make any difference about the Independence of our brothers until we made dialogue with the Government of Indonesia, they are the authority who are governing West Papua.

Remember MSG member countries are independent or partly governing part of a country in the case of Kanaky of New Caledonia.

The only way forward is to grant them Observer statues and MSG countries have to call a meeting of minds between Indonesia and West Papua to discuss the way forward that leads to independence of West Papuan brothers within Indonesia.

Dear Editor,

The DP reported Saturday (13/8) that parliament is to sit next Friday to discuss the Bill for the Supplementary Appropriation Act of 2011 which allows additional monies to be issued from the Public Fund if authorised by parliament.

Given that the additional funds requested include a 52 million vatu allocation for MPs (a million vatu each), I think parliament will probably not have too much trouble approving the allocation.
