FIFA D licence course ends in high note

OFC run coaching course held in Port Vila ended in a high note today with the 30 participants receiving the D Licence Grassroot Coaching Course certificate from FIFA Instructor Didier Chambaron.

The five-day course
especially from the grassroot level certificate held this week. D License Grassroot coaching course condcuted by FIFA and OFC and its the first of its kind in Vanuatu.

Govt demands Vt 3 billion from China

The Vanuatu Government has demanded China for Vt 3 billion assistance.

This news is one in a string of recent revelations when Vanuatu’s Foreign Affairs Minister Alfred Carlot revealed his intention to establish ties with Taiwan.
Minister Carlot told Daily Post he has written to the Chinese Government requesting China to assist Vanuatu with Vt 3 billion aid to support the Government budget.

Vanuatu invites Fiji for two friendlies

After completing their two match tour of Fiji, the Vanuatu Football Federation is looking to host Fiji in two more friendly matches before the Pacific Games.
Acting President and Coach Saby Natonga said the two nations have enormous talent and potential and by playing two more games, they will be able to build their combination before the Games.

“Now we are inviting Fiji to come to Vanuatu and play two games there before the Pacific Games and I am sure they will decide something positive,” he said.

Needle claimed found in Calrose rice

Chief Moltores Victor BP Bond has claimed his family found a needle in Australian Calrose rice that they were preparing to cook.

Victor said the white calrose rice was bought in one of the retail shops nearby. “My daughter’s husband was busy washing the rice when suddenly the needle pierced his finger” Victor said.

Victor said luckily the needle was found before cooking otherwise one of them might have swallowed it.

This is not the first incident and daily post has come across similar incidents where consumers’ complained about similar objects found in bags of rice.

Local takes over Nemo Restaurant

Locals are encouraged to manage and trade in business instead of depending on expatriates to bring business into the country.

That was a statement made by a longtime Luganville businessman Grenier after seeing the importance of encouraging locals to go into business.

Grenier owns the Nemo Building and allows a local, Bernadette Koroka to run the Nemo Restaurant free of charge for three months to enable her to pay the rent.

Bernadette Koroka is famous for her sumptuous dishes and she is happy with the arrangement to pay the rent every three months.
