VIPA frustrations

Dear Editor,

Further to the letter in yesterdays Daily Post in regards to the frustrations experienced when trying to deal with VIPA I would like to add my 2 vatu worth to this discussion.

Not only is it extremely frustrating dealing with this organisation but for some reason they have taken it on themselves to be the protector of Ni-Vanuatu rights.

Benefits of VIPA in terms of investments

Dear Editor,

I can't help but to question the benefit Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority is bringing to our potentially prosperous nation.

It appears that VIPA as everyone likes to call it, is an obstacle rather than an authority that promotes Vanuatu and Investments into Vanuatu.

Let us just take a peek into a normal day of a high value investor trying to get VIPA Approvals.

Today the courts reopen with an official ceremony and some legal matters can be reviewed

A group of local businesses have taken the initiative to start an appeal to raise funds for victims of the Queensland floods.

The “Vanuatu Queensland Flood Appeal” is aiming to raise and donate at least $100,000 to the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief.

There are three areas of activity to raise these funds or support those affected by the Queensland floods:
