The Vanuatu National Sports coordinator, Leinasei Simon, has congratulated Rebbecca Solomon on her achievement representing the regional youth Caucus as Vice Chairlady in the PAN Commonwealth Youth program representing Vanuatu and the region.

The chairman of this body is Noelyn Wagapu from Solomon Islands.

Ms Solomon succeeded Nelly Willie in July this year in the regional youth Caucus.

On December 12, she was appointed vice chairman of the PAN Commonwealth Youth Program during a recent orientation gathering of Commonwealth Youth representatives in Jakarta, Indonesai.

Child Protection Advocacy in unexpected community meeting

Save the Children’s Youth Outreach Project (YOP) officers played an important advocacy role in a recent important community dialogue in one of Save the Children’s project sites in Port Vila.

SANMA Province conducts 3-day youth workshop

A three-day workshop on youth development is currently underway at the Sanma Provincial headquarter in Luganville.

The workshop, which started yesterday, gathers participants from 11 Area Councils in Sanma Province.

Acting Youth Development Officer, Mr Jansen Moli told the Daily Post the 11 participants attending the training will cover various topics during the three-day training.

“The participants will learn about youth sector team building, leadership and organisational skills training,” he said.

Gideons aim to distribute 200,000 bibles in 2012

The Gideon Bible International Vanuatu branch is part of the evangelical Christian organization dedicated to distributing copies of the bible, ensuring that every single person owns a bible and have access to the word of God.

The bibles which are distributed in Vanuatu are King James Version and consist of both the Old and New Testament and also those with only the New Testament including the Psalms and Proverbs, and are written in both English and French.
