For those of you who have visited our shores for the first time, we’d like to extend a very warm welcome to you and hope that you will enjoy your short time in our beautiful country.
Vanuatu, meaning 'Our Land', is an archipelago of 83 beautiful islands, with the main islands being Efate, Espiritu Santo, Malekula and Tanna.
Vanuatu is a land of diversity and has some of the friendliest people in the world.
From spectacular coral reefs, beautiful tropical islands, stunning marine life, active volcanoes to breathtaking rainforests, Vanuatu offers something for every visitor that venture our way.
There are a variety of activities to choose from, many of them right at your door step so we’d like to encourage you to take one of the many amazing tours available. If you like fun getting wet, we would encourage going one of the many marine based activities available such as snorkelling, Scuba diving, game fishing, kayaking, or even choose a soft adventure tour. If this is not your thing, take a leisurely walk around market or town and just mingle amongst the local people as they go about their daily business. A tour to one of the islands in the archipelago is a must. You will be amazed how untouched these islands have remained in this century. You will agree that there is a lot to enjoy in a country with a colourful history, and rich, living culture. Our colonial heritage and cultural heritage has given us an infusion of the different cultures, coexisting together, making Vanuatu one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world.
Our natural environment provides the basis of un-spoilt living in the villages, where life is carefree and the friendliest people are waiting to greet you. This is why we describe the local people as some of the friendliest people.
Like many least developed countries, Vanuatu is a young developing nation with huge appreciation and respect for the natural and cultural environment.
We trust that your time in Vanuatu will be enjoyable and will bring long lasting memories. We invite you to return again and again to experience the various wonders that this archipelago of islands provides, from the World’s most accessible active volcano on the island of Tanna, to diving on one of the world’s most renowned wreck sites, the President Coolidge off the island of Espiritu Santo. There is so much to see and do on Vanuatu’s numerous islands.
We thank you for choosing Vanuatu as your holiday destination and look forward to seeing you on our shores again.
