Dear Editor
How can it be true that Air Vanuatu is not going to renew all its expat employee contracts when they expire?
If true, who is going to fly the planes? Who is going to maintain them?
If true, why has Air Vanuatu advertised for a 568 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in the New Zealand Herald on 17 January 2010, with a closing date for applications of 31 January?
What is Air Vanuatu doing? Yes, it must save costs to survive, but contemplating operating aircraft with unqualified people is a recipe for a disaster. I think a more detailed explanation of their intentions is in order.
